Golf w/ Your Friends is one of the BEST casual games on the market today!
If you’re anything like me, most of your Game Library is filled to the brim with the most action-packed, time-demanding content money can buy. Well, the time has come for good ol’ fashioned mini-golf to make its claim for your screen time. From the Publisher that brought us cult classics like The Escapists and Overcooked, comes Golf With Your Friends.
Golf w/ Your Friends is aimed at being that clutch game you play with your friends on the chill nights when the 50 rounds of Call of Duty just doesn’t sound appealing. It’s exactly what the title says, little more and no less. GWYF offers serene handcrafted courses that have great replayability. Once you’ve played the developer generated content, you can fire up the level editor and create a course yourself, or simply play one of the thousands of user-generated maps. Yes, thousands!
Now, anyone who’s played this game has probably heard of its chief rival, Golf It! Both games are very similar and most players I’ve talked to would describe Golf It! as a more polished product. I would say there are two key differences between the games that should push you the way of GWYF and both are features that only GWYF has implemented. The first is the Quick Match. When you’re not in a party, you can get into a game in less than 30 seconds. The alternative is manually searching for a server which is just more of a hassle. The second is a dedicated offline mode, allowing you to play couch co-op (or PvP in this case).
BOTTOM LINE: Golf w/ Your Friends is one of the best casual games on the market today. If you’re looking to balance your library with something fun or just add something cool to your playlist, Golf With Your Friends is a great option.
